There she falls in with a struggling bookseller and a cast of local misfits, and discovers the pleasure of a quiet life and a good story. It carries the same warm, low-stakes charm as its predecessor, with a little more adventure around the edges.
You can read it first or second: it works perfectly well as a standalone. Some readers actually prefer starting here because it shows Viv before she softened. Still, most people meet her in the coffee shop first, which is why we point you there to begin.
What to Expect
